Softonic review

Play A Classic Card Game. Surely You Know...

UNO is a video game adaptation of the titular card game which has caused laughs and hampered friendships. In it, you and other players sit around a virtual table, playing cards of matching colours and numbers to empty your hand, and hoping those near you don't reverse the turn order, or worse, force you to draw some extra cards!

Getting Too Close

Though you can play UNO by yourself, against the computer, it's obviously more fun to indulge in this age old classic with friends. That's helped along by new cards and house rules that you can play with to add more strategic options, or just to make the game more exciting. If you want to play classic, unaltered UNO, that's fine too: there is a mode with that very name! The only problem is that getting those friends to play it with can be tough in a practical sense. The game can be played online, but each player needs a copy, and playing locally can be hard to manage.

Drawing A Blank?

Basically, what you need to know about UNO is this: it's the same game you can get at a board game store or even a department store, but made more accessible, made virtual, and with some fun extra features. If you can get copies for your friends or play locally (which the game does allow!), then this game might just make your night.

PROS

  • A true classic
  • Local multiplayer

CONS

  • Few features
  • Poor online play
